Description:
Fan with shaped, black-lacquered wooden guards and sticks with painted floral motifs and gilded decoration, and narrow paper leaf with color-printed scenes and hand-painted motifs on obverse and reverse; obverse with three scenes, each with an amorous couple in a landscape setting; reverse with one central scene with two men and two women in a domestic interior flanked by elaborate gilded designs applied to metallic blue ground.
