This hand fan is made of paper and has a wood handle. One side has a photo-lithograph of men and women canoeing on a wooded river. The reverse reads in green "Edes & Company/ Newport, N.H./ Staple and Fancy Dry Goods/ Ladies', Misses' and Children's/ Ready-to-Wear Garments/ If you are a stranger here look for the Store with the White Pillars".
