Description:
Fan with pierced ivory guards and sticks with applied silver borders and bands, and the lower guard carved like twisted rope; paper leaf, the obverse with color-printed image centered on white ground of two men and two women in eighteenth-century costume standing in front of garden backdrop; metal handle with pink silk tassel and rivet with mother of pearl buttons; cardboard box covered in embossed white paper.
