Description:
Filigreed leaf (probably oak) that has been pierced to leave the silhouette of a field gun and the inscription "VERDUN;" in rectangular gold and black frame with pencil inscription on reverse.

According to the accession records, this example of trench art was given to the donor by a soldier who had recieved a sweater from her.
