Cylindrical hand-sewn leather fire bucket with traces of original stenciled inscription; leather-encased rope rim and handle; paper with handwritten inscription affixed to one side.

According to the accession records, this fire bucket was used by the donor's grandfather Robert Speir in his home in New York City.
