Description: 
Eight comb black painted leather fire helmet with tooled linear decoration on crown and scroll border on brim; black leather frontpiece with firefighting tools painted at center and "NY / EXEMPT / ASSOCIATION" in gold painted leather lettering; gilded brass frontpiece holder in the shape of a fireman and silver painted metal cap on top of crown; red wool felt band lines inner rim of crown.
