Description:
Thirty-two comb leather presentation fire helmet painted light olive green (originally white?); engraved oval plaque at center back of brim framed by embossed floral decoration; painted leather frontpiece with fire engine and "CHIEF / ENGINEER / M. J. B." in black and red on gold ground; gilded brass eagle frontpiece holder; textile half-lining.
