Description:
Gold, black, and red painted leather frontpiece from a fire helmet; star and banner cut out at top and backed with red painted leather, the banner with inscription, "FORE[M]AN," in applied, gold painted lettering; large black "1" appliquéd over crossed hook and ladder at center.
