Description:
Four comb black painted leather fire helmet with tooled scroll border on edge of brim and intricate scroll frame surrounding maker's mark on back of brim; black painted leather frontpiece with firefighting tools painted at center and "NY EXEMPT ASSOCIATION" and "JR" in gold painted leather lettering; gold painted leather frontpiece holder; textile half-lining.
