Cast iron fireback with molded decoration; large central figure seated on raised throne and flanked by smaller figures; inscription below scene.
Gallery Label:
According to the accession records, the translation of the inscription would read "THE JUDGEMENT OF SOLOMON I - KINGS IV CHAP...[?]". The records also indicate that the object was first used as a stove plate.
