Description:
Cotton U.S. reproduction flag with twenty-one stars in the blue printed canton; thirteen red and white stripes; white hoist with metal grommets at each end.

The New York Bank for Savings, on the occasion of its 150th Anniversary, handed out to its patrons this replica flag, which was the official flag of the U.S. in 1819 when the bank opened. The flag was meant to be flown at the time. Once a flag has been the official flag of the U.S., it may be displayed in any circumstances where a present (50 star) flag is appropriate.
