Silk U.S. Regimental flag of the 3rd Alabama Infantry Volunteers with 45 gold painted stars in six rows (three rows of seven stars, three rows of eight stars); inscribed in gold across a red stripe at center, "3RD. ALA. INF. U.S. VOLS."; gold fringe trim around three sides, not along the hoist.
