Description:
Blue silk U.S. regimental flag of the 39th Regiment U.S. Infantry Volunteers with an eagle painted in the center with arrows and a laurel branch in its talons, and a red banner in its beak inscribed, "E PLURIBUS UNUM;" eagle below a rising sun and thirteen gold stars; red and gold banner painted below the eagle inscribed, "39TH.. REGIMENT INF. U.S. VOL'S;" gold fringe around the edges.
