Description:
Silk embroidered regimental flag of the New York State Volunteers Highlanders; an embroidered American bald eagle is in the center holding a draped American flag and laurel branches in its talons in multi-colored silk chenille embroidery threads; embroidered around the eagle are the names of Civile War battles, Chantilly, Bull Run, ect.; yellow silk fringe on the top and bottom.
