Description:
Gold silk flag tassels; two twisted cords tied in a knot at the top; both drop into gold silk covered wooden drapery tassels with twisted triangular tops and decorated at the base with fringe.
Gallery Label:
These tassels were draped on a banner and carried in all the parades of the New York Volunteer Fire Department. The donor was the daughter of T. Alfred Nicholls, a member of the Volunteer Fire Department.
