Wooden flageolet, a recorder-like flute, with three sections separated by ivory rings; detachable ivory mouthpiece.

According to the accession records, this flageolet was given as a souvenir to Mrs. Charles A. Bulkeley (Julia Neilson, 1811-1878), maternal grandmother of the donors, at Jenny Lind's first New York concert, September 11, 1850.
