Description:
Colorless pressed lead glass spill holder with serpentine rim, pattern of double row of bellflowers on background of fine vertical ribbing, and sunburst on underside of foot (Ribbed Leaf pattern).
Gallery Label:
This pattern is featured in the M'Kee catalogue of 1864, but it is possible that it was made in the East as well (see "American and European Pressed Glass in The Corning Museum of Glass," p. 263).
