Description:
"Chasseur pattern" blue wool forage cap; soft crown with circular, countersunk top; black patent leather visor, which is flat and somewhat rectangular; embroidered insignia with "96 / GAR" framed by branches of laurel; narrow chin strap made of gold metallic cloth tape secured at either side by a gilded metal button embossed with monogram "GAR."
