Description:
Collection of 15 silver plated spoons and 21 forks from various Hudson River steamboats; all engraved (later) with name of steamer and date it was built; each piece nailed to velvet-covered backboard with nail through handle of spoon or fork.
Gallery Label:
These forks and spoons were used on various steamboats from the Hudson River Day Line, primarily from the 1860s to the 1920s.
