Description:
Dark blue single-breasted enlisted man's Infantry frock coat with 1" closed stand-up collar lined with dark blue velvet; 9 buttons down the front; no evidence of epaulets at the shoulders; open sleeves with 3 buttons, sleeves 8 3/4" at their widest; 4 panels at the back with 2 buttons near the center at the waistline, a button on each side of split skirt; all buttons cast with shield-breasted eagle clutching branches and arrows in its talons, shield cast with "I"; coat lined with green silk, sleeves lined with white silk, horizontal slit pocket at the left breast lined with brown cotton, a strap on each side at the waistline with metal clasp buckle.
