Description:
Leather, cotton, and iron gaiter; stitched black leather lining with green-striped white canvas loops on interior and strap at top that fastens to iron buckle on front.

According to accession records, this gaiter was part of a uniform worn by the donor's father, Emilio Buch, while serving in the 2nd Battalion, Cazadores Voluntarios de Matanzas, as part of Spanish forces during the Cuban insurrection of 1867.
