Description:
Cotton, brass, and iron gaiters; flat, fatigue canvas leggings with brass studs on back right side that snap onto holes on back left, and strap on top back that fastens to buckle on front.

According to accession records, these gaiters were worn by George Wettlaufer, a member of the Astor battery during the Spanish-American War.
