Description:
Bronze struck medal with obverse showing seal of the Grand Lodge of the State of New York consisting of two winged creatures with goat-like legs flanking central oval medallion with cross and symbols of four apostles, enclosed by branches; motto on scrolling band: "HOLINESS/TO THE/LORD"; surrounding legend: "GRAND LODGE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK." Reverse bears inscription at center, surrounded by wreath of ivy: "AWARDED/TO/BROTHER/JOHN WARD DUNSMORE/ANNO LUCIS/5934"; surrounding legend: "FOR.DISTINGUISHED.ACHIEVEMENT.IN.THE.FINE.ARTS./GRAND.
MASTERS.MEDAL." Medal is inset into square black leather case with dark blue silk moire and silk velvet interior.
