Half-model of hull of steamship mounted on narrow backboard such that top of model is flush with top of board.
Gallery Label:
This model represents a Hudson River passenger steamboat built in the late 19th century. Half models were also known as builders' models because they were used as guidelines for the actual construction of ships.
