Flat-folding black wool felt hat with narrow black ribbon band on exterior; brown cloth tape binding on edges of brim; black leather sweatband and pale purple silk lining.

This campaign hat belonged to First Lieutenant Abram P. Haring, who served in Co. G of the 132nd New York Volunteers during the Civil War.
