Description:
Curved, open-work brass plate in form of eagle grasping arrows in one talon, and branch in another, with shield on breast and banner at bottom.
Gallery Label:
This plate was part of a unifrom hat worn by a member of the 12th Regiment, National Guard New York. It belonged to George R. Dyer, who was active in the NY national guard for nearly 40 years and retired as a Major-General in 1933.
