Henry J. Kaiser was born in Canajoharie, New York, the son of Frank and Mary (Yapps) Kaiser. An industrialist and corporate executive, he was involved during the 1930s in the construction of Boulder, Parker, and Grand Coulee Dam, and in the erection of the San Francisco Bay Bridge.
