Description: 
Three metal horseshoes connected with red, white, and blue ribbon, souvenirs from the New York Sanitary Fair, 1864; attached to calling card of Dr. and Mrs. Agnew of Fifth Avenue.

According to an inscription on the back of the calling card, these horseshoes were purchased for "Nelly" at the New York Sanitary Fair in April 1864. They were manufactured for the benefit of the Fair at the "Old Curiosity Shop" by a Patent Office model of a machine for making horseshoes.
