Description:
Cast iron semi-mechanical bank representing Independence Hall, with bell tower and red painted base; architectural details of windows, columns, and clocks cast on sides; cast eagles balanced on railing under bell tower; cast inscription on base; slot (for coins) just under second tier; bell hangs in bell tower, and can be manually rung.
Gallery Label:
The penny can be deposited directly inside the bank and a lever would allow a child to strike the bell within.
