Aquamarine glass ink bottle blown in two part mold; octagonal pyramid shape with cylindrical neck and tooled lip; pontil mark;paper label with inscription affixed to side.
Gallery Label:
Thaddeus Davids, chemist, appears in the New York City directories beginning in 1838. In 1853, his trade is described as "manufacturer of sealing wax, waters, inks and c."
