Description:
Cast iron jointer's plane composed of a rectangular stock with rounded sides and flat sole perforated by a central slit that functions as a blade; the hollow stock functions as a shavings container and also houses a wooden wedge which is held in place by an iron cross piece; a curved foliate handle is at the fore end of the stock; remains of black paint all over.
