Description:
Cotton lithographed presidential campaign kerchief in black ink with portraits of General Winfield S. Hancock and William H. English within a figure-eight; above is a rotonda inscribed "Liberty"and four flags, below is an image of Hancock on horseback directing troops and a courthouse divided byan American bald eagle on an American shield; border of red and blue stars and crossed American flags in red and blue at the four corners.
Gallery Label:
Hancock and English were unsuccessful candidates for President and Vice President in 1880. Garfield and Arthur were elected to office that year.
