Description:
Tan linen knee breeches with fall front closing over two button closing pockets and a three button fly; small change pocket beside fly; two buttons at top front and back for suspenders; high waist with a full seat; ribbon tie closure at small of back to cinch breeches to size; five buttons at each knee.
Gallery Label:
These breeches belonged to Dr. Samuel Alexander McCorsky, who served as Surgeon, Pennslyvania Artillery Artificers, 1778-1782. He was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati, PA. He was an ancestor of the donor's husband.
