Description:
Knife with straight, double-edged steel blade which is diamond-shaped in cross-section and tapers evenly from hilt to point; gilded decoration on obverse and reverse of blade (obverse includes banner inscribed "LAWRENCE and NAVY"); gilded brass cross quillons with floral tips and small ball finials; tapered cylindrical ivory grip with flattened base and decorative scoring; gilded brass sheath with two carrying rings with clips and incised decoration.
