Description:
Dagger with double-edged convex steel blade and wooden handle with two prongs decorated with silver bands and braided fiber; wooden sheath decorated with embossed and perforated silver bands and wrapped with long strip of braided fiber.

According to the accession records, this example was acquired by the donor's husband, Colonel James Guthrie Harbord (1866-1947), while serving as Assistant Chief of Philippines Constabulary, U. S. Army, from 1903 to 1914.
