stamped: on the underside of the bowl: "STERLING/ 38" below a "W" in an oval held by a dragon and lion headed griffin
Description:
silver ladle in the "Alhambra" pattern with a downturned trifid end handle decorated with "Islamic style" scrolls around a shield-shaped reserve; flat rectangular stem with a molded circular socket with three rounded joints attached to a matte-finished, bucket-shaped bowl; underside of the handle engraved, "Linda" in script; maker's marks stamped on the underside of the bowl.
"Alhambra" pattern first issued in 1870.
