Description:
Silver ladle with down-turned double-swell fiddle-shaped handle with shell and anthemion decoration at end and with beading trim along the edges; handle engraved "MDBM" in script; deep, circular scallop-shell bowl with anthemion decoration; makers' hallmarks stamped along underside of the handle stem.
Gallery Label:
Rectangle-circle-diamond hallmark may indicate that ladle was made by Dominick & Haff for Howard & Co.
