Description:
Though the view is cited as of City Island in the Bronx, the title is misleading. The building depicted is the old Abraham Seeley Cottage nea the Cold Spring in what is now Inwood Hill Park at the extreme northern end of Manhattan Island. The location was the south shore of the Harlem River. Inwood Hill appears in the background.
