Description:
Polychrome jaquard woven silk ribbon with oval-shaped portrait of Ulysses S. Grant within floral wreath; eagle with stars and stripes shield, laurel branches, and scroll inscribed: "E PLURIBUS UNUM" above; inscription intertwined with vines of ivy beneath: "LIEUTENANT/GENERAL/U.S.GRANT"; two crossed American flags at bottom.
