Description:
This brown stone is etched in reverse with a horse's head as a lithographic plate. It has a paper label that reads "An original Currier & Ives lithographic stone with a sketch of a horse's head by Louis Maurer (1832-1932). Presented to me by his daughter Mrs. Eugenia Maurer Fuerstenberg, Feb. 28, 1934."
