Description: 
silver luncheon knife with a threaded handle, cast in vertical halves, with short midribs on both sides; handle engraved with the Morris family crest, a tower in flames; molded handle socket fitted with a flat blade with a curved tip; maker's marks stamped on the underside of the blade.

Probably made for the marriage of Mary E. Babcock to William L. Morris in 1827.
