Description:
Machete with wide, very slightly curved, single-edged steel blade with a narrow groove on obverse and reverse; bone grip; leather scabbard (now in two pieces, b-c) with embossed leaf motif in two parallel bands on obverse and brass tip.
Gallery Label:
According to the accession records, this machete was used during the Spanish-American War by a Cuban volunteer in the Spanish Army.
