Carved wooden figure of a drummer in uniform with arms jointed at shoulders, mounted on rectangular wooden box; drummer wears black beefeater's hat, red jacket, and white trousers and has small cylindrical drum attached to thigh; mechanism inside box causes drummer to raise his arms and beat against drum when small wire crank is turned.
