Tin molded two-part medal with obverse showing right-facing portrait-length bust of hatted Columbus with legend "CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS." Reverse with beaded border around legend: "IN/ COMMEMORATION/ OF THE/ FOUR HUNDREDTH/ ANNIVERSARY/OF THE/ DISCOVERY OF AMERICA/ OCTOBER 12th/ 1492-1892."
