White metal struck medal with obverse showing right-facing bust-length portrait of Columbus and legend "COLUMBUS 1492-1892." Reverse shows Columbus holding flag with group of figures; banners visible. Legend in exerg.: "LANDING OF/ COLUMBUS." Hole punched at top.
