Pair of bronze struck medals with obverse showing left-facing bare-headed bust-length portrait of Columbus in ruff collar inside border of shields; legend "CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS." Reverse shows figures on rowboat, one bearing flag, at sea with land in background; legend: "400TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DISCOVERY/ OF AMERICA/ 1492 - OCT. - 1892."
