Circular medal suspended from a blue silk ribbon with safety pin; medal consists of an inner circle on a star which is on an outer circle; the inner circle shows a soldier kneeling in front of a woman; a blue ring around the inner circle is inscribed "DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS * WORLD WAR *".
