Description:
Copper struck uniface medal showing North and South America on globe; legend: "AROUND THE WORLD/ 1907 U.S.N. 1909/ 45,000 MILES". Two loops fused at top connect to chain and ladder of individual rectangular pieces, each with inscription (from top): "TRINIDAD/ BRAZIL/ CHILE/ PERU/ MEXICO/ UNITED STATES/ HAWAIIAN ISLANDS/ NEW ZEALAND/ AUSTRALIA/ PHILIPPINE ISLANDS/ JAPAN/ INDIA/ EGYPT/ FRANCE/ GIBRALTAR/ HOME SWEET HOME". Blank cartouche at top of ladder hangs by chain from fob fastener.
