Brass struck medal with obverse showing British and American flags at center flanking Britishcoat of arms with flag; legend: "VISIT OF AMERICAN FLEET/ SOUVENIR". Reverse shows outline map of Australia in center inscribed "AUSTRALIA"; legend: "COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA/ 1908". Ornamentation at top of medal with punched hole, hanger ring inserted.
