Brass medal suspended from bar with pin back; circular medal inscribed "AWARDED BY THE STATE OF NEW YORK/TO ONE WHO/SERVED THE NATION/WITH HONOR/1889-1899-1900" a sword is depicted down the center; reverse bar inscribed "DIEGES&CLUST/2244" circular medal depicting an armed soldier; purple, red and yellow silk ribbon connects bar and medal.
